Piscicultural management

The Rural Code (Article L 233-3) made obligation with associations of fishings approved to establish a plan of management. This one can as well integrate projects of interventions in favour of the medium as the projects of desired repopulations.

The knowledge of the state of the rivers is thus paramount in order to determine an adapted management.

For that, in charge one of studies of the Federation currently draws up a technical document in partnership with the departmental brigade of the guards fishes. It is about the Departmental Plan of Protection of the aquatic environment and piscicultural Stock management (PDPG).

It consists of a diagnosis of the state of the medium; all the attacks which our rivers undergo (pollution, retained physical collinaires, problems, obstacles with crossing) are listed and their evaluated impact on the piscicultural population.

The functionality of the medium is thus determined:

  • The medium is in conformity: The piscicultural settlement can carry out its vital cycle without obstacle.
  • The medium is disturbed: The settlement has difficulties in carry out its complete cycle.
  • The medium is degraded: The settlement cannot carry out its cycle any more normally.

On the basis of these technical data, it is then possible to decide desirable and realizable actions in order to develop the potentialities of the medium as well as possible.

The realization of certain actions will make it possible to reconquer courses of quality. A patrimonial management could be applied there. The leisure fishes will be carried out on wild fish produced by the medium. Other courses, too degraded, could not be restored in the short run. A halieutic management could be developed there: repopulations will allow the practice of fishing.

In both cases and while being based on the PDPG, the Federation will be brought to accompany technically and financially the persons in charge of AAPPMA in their orientations by management.

The success of this step is conditioned by the adhesion and the will of all associations.
